Statement of account generator for South Africa
Short answer: a statement of account lists every invoice you have sent a client, what they have paid and what is still owed, with how overdue each one is. Add the invoices below, then print the statement or save it as a PDF. It runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent to Zuvo, and there is no signup.

What a statement of account shows
- Who and when. Your business details, the client's name and the date the statement was drawn up. The balance is only true on that date.
- Each open invoice. The invoice number, its date and due date, the amount, what has been paid and what is left.
- How overdue each is. The days past the due date, so the client can see which to pay first.
- The ageing. The balance grouped into not yet due, 1 to 30 days, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days overdue.
- How to pay. Your EFT details and the reference to use, so paying is one step.
When to send one
Send a statement at month end to clients with more than one open invoice, and whenever a client asks what they owe. It is a gentle way to chase: a single document showing the whole account is easier to act on than a string of separate reminders. A statement summarises the account but does not replace the invoices, so keep the originals, which carry the VAT detail. For wording, read how to send a client statement and our late-invoice follow-up messages.
Let the statement build itself
Zuvo keeps every invoice and part-payment, and on Growth and Business (and in the trial) emails a client a statement with the ageing breakdown and sends polite reminders if you switch them on.

What is a statement of account?
A statement of account lists the invoices you have sent a client, what they have paid and what is still owed, usually with how overdue each invoice is. It is a summary of the account, sent to remind a client of the whole position at once.
Is a statement of account the same as an invoice?
No. An invoice is the request for payment for one supply. A statement summarises the account across several invoices. It does not replace the invoices, so keep and send the original invoices too.
When should I send a statement?
Many businesses send one at the end of each month to clients with more than one open invoice, and whenever a client asks what they owe. A statement is also a polite way to chase when several invoices are overdue, because it shows the whole picture instead of one invoice at a time.
What do the ageing columns mean?
They group what is owed by how many days past its due date it is: not yet due, 1 to 30 days overdue, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90. The older the debt, the harder it is to collect, so the older columns are the ones to act on first.
Does this tool save my data?
No. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to Zuvo or stored. Print the statement or save it as a PDF before you close the page.
