Invoice app for South African small business
If you quote and invoice from your phone, an invoice app should let you describe the job, send a clean VAT document in rand while you are still on site, and tell you when it has been paid. Zuvo works that way in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. There is no app store download, and there is a free plan.

What a good invoice app does on a phone
- Gets the job into a document fast. Type or say the job and your prices. Zuvo drafts the quote or invoice with VAT, your logo and your saved prices, and you check it before it goes out.
- Sends it where clients already are. Email the PDF, or share a link on WhatsApp. The client reads the quote and accepts it online with a typed name and, if they like, a drawn signature.
- Shows clients how to pay. Every invoice has a private page with your EFT details, a payment reference and your own card link. On Growth and Business, clients can pay by card through your own Paystack account.
- Tells you what is owed. The Overview shows what you are owed, what is late and what to do next. Part-payments and credit notes keep every balance right.
- Chases late payers for you. On Starter and above, polite automatic reminders go out on weekdays in office hours and stop when you mark the invoice paid.
- Keeps your receipts. Photograph a receipt and Zuvo reads it, so your expenses and VAT on them are ready for your accountant.
How to put Zuvo on your phone
Zuvo is a web app that can be installed. You do not need an app store.
- Android (Chrome): open zuvoai.co.za, sign in, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- iPhone (Safari): open zuvoai.co.za, tap the Share button and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Open Zuvo from the new icon. It opens full screen, like an app, and keeps you signed in.
What it does not do yet
Zuvo is not a native app from an app store, and it needs an internet connection to save your work: you cannot write a quote offline and sync it later. Other tools list an Android app or offline use, and you can compare them in our guide to the best invoicing software in South Africa. Zuvo is also not full accounting software: it has no bank feeds or payroll.
